Borosilicate tempered glass panes DIN 7080:2005

The DIN 7080:2005 standard applies to pressure resistant circular panes for sight glasses made of thermally toughened borosilicate glass, which are designed to withstand a continuous one-sided fluid pressure at temperature up to 280°C (300°C under particular limitations). The standard does not apply restrictions to the use of borosilicate glass panes below ambient temperature. Borosilicate tempered glass panes DIN 7080:2005

Technical Specifications

• Maximun allowed working pressure: See table on back page
• Allowable continuous working temperature: ≤553.15 K
• Max. allowable working temperature : ≤573.15 K (1)
• Thermal shock resistance (ISO 718): 230°C
• Hydrolytic resistance (ISO 719): class HGB 1
• Acid resistance (ISO 1776): ≤ 100µg Na2O per 100 cm2
• Alkaline resistance (ISO 695): class A2
• Linear thermal expansion coefficient: α≤5.0±0.1*10-6K-1 (293.15÷573.15 K)

(1): When working temperature is above 280°C, protect pane with mica film and replace after 300 hours
